Two months after word hit that the Issaquah Commons shopping center was getting its own Uniqlo, the organization has set an official opening date: Aug. 14.
The new store will have Uniqlo’s expected spread of stylish basics, including a full lineup of its LifeWear section in addition to exclusive designs from local artist Brandon Vosika through the business’s in-store print-on-demand service UTme!. Uniqlo also will, in celebration of its entrée into Issaquah, be putting on a full weekend of festivities to mark the occasion. Things will kick off with a traditional Japanese Taiko drum performance at 9:50 a.m. followed by an official 10 a.m. opening on the 14th, according to a press release.
The first 200 customers in line each day of the weekend will get a special-edition, goodie-packed Uniqlo knot bag and exclusive early access to shop the brand’s new “Chikawa” UT collection, which pays tribute to the popular manga series, the release continued…
