BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) – The City of Beloit Police Department is experiencing a significant shortage of patrol officers. The situation is serious enough that the city is working on a possible plan to get Rock County Sheriff’s deputies to help out on the streets of Beloit.
“We currently have 19 vacancies in our patrol division and that’s out of 74 sworn officer positions,” said Beloit City Manager Daniel Ortiz Hernandez.
