NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A cookout turned into a blaze after a grill caught fire and started spreading on Aug 12. Norfolk Fire Rescue responded to the scene at 1:39 p.m. in the 4800 block of Newport Avenue.
The grill fire had spread to the nearby shed. Firefighters quickly released hose lines, stopping the fire before it could spread further.
