Community mourns unexpected loss of rising 8th grader, kids raise money for family with lemonade stand

LAMBERTVILLE, Mich. (WTVG) – The Bedford community is mourning the sudden loss of Lainey Scroggs, a young cheerleader who would’ve entered 8th grade this school year.

A statement from Bedford Public Schools said she died following a medical emergency.

On Friday, a group of kids created a lemonade stand on Aberdeen Drive in Lambertville to raise money for Lainey’s family. They also created signs that direct passersby to a GoFundMe page to support the Scroggs family, available at the link here…
