The trial of a 29-year-old Beaverton man accused of kidnapping, murdering and abusing the corpse of nurse Melissa Jubane nearly two years ago has been postponed again — this time by more than five months.
It was at least the third trial delay for Bryce Schubert, who is now scheduled to be tried starting on Sept. 7, 2027, under allegations that he was “deliberately cruel” in the way or manner he ended the life of Jubane, a 32-year-old newlywed who’d been home a little over a day from her wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii.
The trial is set to start almost exactly three years after Jubane’s death in September 2024…
