Linn County expands DUII education classes

The Linn County Alcohol and Drug Program is expanding its Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) Education Program to their Lebanon and Albany locations, in order to provide more convenient class options for community members.

The program said DUII education classes, which are required after a court sentence or diversion program following a DUII arrest, help participants to understand the risks of impaired driving, recognize how alcohol and other drugs affect decision-making, and develop strategies for safer choices.

The new classes are eight-week programs, and in Lebanon they have new options that run on Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., as well as Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. In Albany, new classes are being held on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m…
