PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The “dog days of summer” have come and gone, and you probably didn’t even notice the change.
Some may argue that the “dog days of summer” never started in Portland, with only one 100-degree day. The dog days of summer are now over, ending on August 11. The “dog days” start July 3 and fall during this nearly 40-day stretch every year. That also happens to be when some of the longest and hottest days occur.
