A villa less than five years old is already in foreclosure in The Villages.
The property, located at 1743 Brody Court in the Brody Villas in the Village of Moultrie Creek at the southern end of The Villages, was the subject of a public hearing earlier this week at the Brownwood District Office.
A complaint was received May 26 by Community Standards about weeds sprouting up at the home. During an investigation, Community Standards discovered that the homeowner is deceased and that the property is in the foreclosure process. Moira Louise Johnson purchased the villa in January 2025 for $225,900. Johnson has since passed away, according to testimony presented at the hearing. The villa had one previous owner.
