RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Multiple Central Virginia localities are under a severe thunderstorm warning Thursday evening, with much of the rest of the region still under a severe thunderstorm watch.
The following Central Virginia localities are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20:
- Amelia County
- Chesterfield County
- Goochland County
- Hanover County
- Henrico County
- Powhatan County
- Richmond
The following Central Virginia localities are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday:
- Brunswick County
- Lunenburg County
- Mecklenburg County
A severe thunderstorm warning means that a severe thunderstorm or storms has been located near or within the impacted areas.
