CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Like any family with kids, they go through a lot of toys. When the kids grow out of some toys, they wind up donating them.
After one donation run, Anna Simons found out her husband accidentally gave away not one, but two very special items, including a baby doll that had been a favorite of both mom and daughter, and on it was the first onesie her daughter was able to wear.
“My mom actually got it for me when I was a little baby,” Simons said. “It was always my favorite baby doll. One of the few toys that I kept into adulthood. And then when I had my daughter, she was born four months early and spent about four months in the NICU. The first time she was able to wear any kind of clothing, it was this onesie that was in the picture.”…
