RICHMOND, Va. — It will be cooler and less humid today with increasing clouds. A few showers or storms will be possible, mostly south and southwest of Richmond. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
Rain and storms will increase across the region this evening, and there will be periods of rain and storms overnight. Rain chances will be higher south of I-64. A few storms could have some strong gusts, and there is a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) for severe storms in far southern Virginia, closer to the North Carolina border.
Lows tonight will be 65-70°. Rainfall could exceed an inch in some locations.
