PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Douglas Avenue in Portsmouth, between Bruce Place and Adriatic Street, will be temporarily closed beginning Monday due to road repairs after a sewer main break on Aug. 4, according to Hampton Roads Sanitation District.
From Aug. 23 to Aug. 27, contractors will be replacing a curb and restoring grass in the area. Pavement patching is scheduled for the week of Aug. 31.
During this closure, traffic should follow a detour using Florida Avenue as indicated on the following map provided by the organization:
