A man who authorities have been searching for since declaring a big video gaming burglary ring earlier this month is now in custody after leading suburban police on a 107 mph chase that concluded in a foot pursuit on the Eisenhower Expressway, officials said.
Don Williams Jr., 20, is being jailed on felony weapons possession and aggravated flight and eluding charges, according to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin. He also has an outstanding warrant in connection with a burglary ring that prosecutors claim stole more than $100,000 from gaming machines around Chicagoland.
The chase began around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, when Villa Park police attempted to stop Williams near Route 83 and St. Charles Road, according to Berlin. He claimed authorities targeted Williams for minor infractions and feared the vehicle had been used in a previous felony…
