I think that every single traffic light in Ocala needs operational traffic light cameras 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There have been way too many accidents that were very avoidable, if the person would leave their cell phone somewhere in the car and not in their hands.
There have also been accidents where the guilty driver takes off and doesn’t stay to wait for cops, and if it was at a light with a camera that was just sitting there and not operating, then the victim would, unfortunately, have to pay out of their own pocket for medical bills and maintenance…
