Two 19-year-olds boys were killed early Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle fatal crash on La. 27 near Shawnee Lane.
Louisiana State Police Trooper Roy Jones said the crash claimed the lives of Kylar Scott of Baton Rouge and Jordan Smith of Ferriday.
Jones said a 2024 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Scott, was traveling north on La. 27 while a 2025 Blue Bird workforce transit bus was traveling south on the same road.
