Menands, NY (WRGB) — The Village of Menands, Fire Department and Police Department released a joint statement following a fire at the Menands firehouse, calling the incident one of the most difficult and heartbreaking days in the village’s history.
Officials said no firefighters, police officers or emergency personnel suffered serious injuries during the incident. They credited the quick response from surrounding agencies with preventing a greater tragedy.
