The investigation into Quinones was conducted by the sheriff’s office, Department of Social Services and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities said the 48-year-old had failed to report her employment and earned income, leading her to receive a total of $12,558 in SNAP benefits that she was not entitled to.
Quinones was charged with four counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and one count of third-degree welfare fraud, according to officials. Following arraignment in the Town of Amsterdam Court, she was reportedly released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
