Fire breaks out at Schenectady sewage treatment plant

Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — A fire broke out Monday evening at a sewage treatment plant in Schenectady.

According to the Schenectady Fire Department, emergency crews were called to the facility at 300 Anthony Street between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. after a fire was reported in the building where compost is processed from sewage treatment operations.
