JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A home was destroyed in a fire in the town of Johnstown. The fire broke out around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday on West State Street Extension.
The Meco Volunteer Fire Company was sent to the scene. Finding a fully involved structure fire, they requested assistance from Tryon Fire District and Pleasant Square Fire Company.

Firefighters said they began with an exterior attack before moving inside to fully extinguish the fire. Firetrucks were filled with water at the Meco fire house and then shuttled back to the scene…
