Genesis Health Clubs Acquires Nine Fitness Clubs, Enters New Mexico Market

The privately owned fitness provider is continuing its acquisition run, building a case for the mid-market, multi-sport club

Genesis Health Clubs is entering New Mexico and deepening its Colorado roots, snapping up a mix of Colorado Athletic Clubs and New Mexico Sports & Wellness-owned clubs in a deal that pushes the privately held fitness company to 86 locations across 14 states.

In Colorado, Genesis has acquired four Colorado Athletic Club locations: Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village, Monaco and Tabor in Denver, and Flatirons in Boulder. The five New Mexico Sports & Wellness clubs (Del Norte, Riverpoint, Highpoint, Midtown and Downtown) are all in Albuquerque.

Existing members will keep access to their current clubs and amenities and can expect continued investment in facilities and programming, Genesis said…
