Great New Mexico Cleanup celebrated all weekend

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Communities across the state rolled up their sleeves Saturday to make New Mexico cleaner. In Los Lunas, volunteers took action during a Breaking Bad Habits cleanup event, part of the statewide Great New Mexico Cleanup.

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham was in attendance, along with Daniel and Luis Mocada, the actors who play the iconic Salamanca Twins in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The governor expressed her excitement for Saturday’s successful event.

‘Breaking Bad’ home on the market with a steep discount

“We can all make it beautiful and pristine, and our children, and our grandchildren, they deserve that, and I’m really excited about the amount of response from New Mexicans, who are out here on a Saturday cleaning up their neighborhoods,” said Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D- NM).

The two-day event was created to celebrate Earth Day. Since its launch, over 10,000 tons of trash have been collected through clean-up events like this one…
