The ‘City Nature Challenge’ returns to New Mexico for 2026

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) — The New Mexico Museum of Natural Science and History is encouraging residents to take part in a worldwide event. For the second year in a row, New Mexico residents can participate in the “City Nature Challenge.”

Live music returns to the ABQ BioPark this summer

During the challenge, residents must find and document different nature observations around their city. The museum wants pictures of wild plants and animals to show the biodiversity new Mexico has to offer. The challenge begins at midnight this Friday, and wraps up at the end of the day on Monday.
