Woman convicted for role in child’s shooting death in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A jury has convicted a woman of tampering with evidence for her role in the death of a two-year-old boy. Prosecutors said that Angel Morales and two others took a gun and fled after the boy got a hold of it and shot himself last year at an apartment near Gibson Blvd. and Yale Blvd. Investigators believe his mother, Amillia Garcia, had left the gun on a sofa unattended and went to sleep.
