Officer loses gun at entertainment center, teen shoots it thinking it was a prop: police

TYSONS, Va. (WKRC) – An officer allegedly lost his gun at an entertainment center, leading to a teen girl shooting it under the belief it was a prop.

According to information from the Fairfax County Police Department obtained by local outlet NBC Washington, a police captain lost his firearm while playing a game at Level99, an entertainment center with a large variety of mental and physical games for adults.

A 14-year-old girl reportedly discovered the weapon and, believing it to be a prop, discharged the firearm. Luckily, nobody was struck or injured in the accidental shooting, police said. The teen reportedly requested medical assistance, but was just treated at the scene…
