Man dies month after Merrifield e-scooter crash

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A man has died from his injuries sustained from being struck by a car while riding an e-scooter in April, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).

Police said officers responded to reports of a crash involving an e-scooter on April 1 at 11:22 p.m. in the area of Gallows and Gatehouse Rd.

An investigation found that a 2022 Toyota Corolla was heading Northbound on Gallows Rd. when the driver struck an e-scooter heading from west to east across Gallows Rd.
