Takoma Park is preparing to celebrate Independence Day with its annual July 4 Parade and Evening Street Party, bringing together residents for a day of community pride, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating the People of Takoma Park: Elders, History and the Democratic Spirit.” The parade will take place on Saturday, July 4, from 10am to 11:30am and will feature a grand marshal, community groups, performers, local organizations, and residents marching through the city’s historic streets.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Carroll and Ethan Allen avenues before traveling south on Carroll Avenue to Willow Avenue. Participants will then continue along Willow Avenue, Tulip Avenue, and Maple Avenue before the parade concludes near Ritchie Avenue…
