PennDOT invests $134M to make Pa.’s traffic lights work better: See every project

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that 86 municipalities will receive $38 million through the Green Light-Go Program to enhance traffic safety and reduce congestion across the state.

Since Governor Josh Shapiro took office, PennDOT said that $134 million has been distributed to municipalities through the program, and more than 1,700 traffic signals have been upgraded.

The Green Light-Go Program reimburses municipalities for projects that improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals. The newly announced projects will be funded through the fiscal year 2026-27 budget…
