Doylestown Borough Hall, at 10 Doyle Street, will give over a Sunday afternoon to the Revolutionary War. The building normally keeps office hours, 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. On August 16 the doors open at 2 for a two-hour lecture, and nobody pays to get in.
The talk is billed as “The Revolutionary War in Montgomery and Bucks County,” and the Doylestown Historical Society is running it with the Friends of the Doylestown Library. Seating is limited, and registration is required in advance.
The speaker is Michael Jesberger, who works on his own as a military historian. His two periods are the American Revolution and the Civil War, and he gives lectures, living history presentations and tours of historic sites across the tri-state area.
