If you live in Fountain Hill, you’ll soon have a new option for home internet. Philadelphia-based Xfinity has been updating the community with mailers announcing that “Fiber-powered Wifi is moving in,” which it explains is a hybrid broadband internet service “powered by fiber and connected to the premises by coaxial cable.”
The postcards encourage recipients to visit the Xfinity website and, after verifying availability, complete a form to receive updates.
According to the site, the rollout will be happening this fall. It notes that “residential internet plans include WiFi equipment and the option to guarantee your internet price for five years.”…
