Firefighters battle two-alarm fire at Allentown home, family displaced

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to a two-alarm blaze at a home in Allentown.

Lehigh County Communications received the call at 2:12 p.m. for the fire at the home on the 1900 block of East Livingston Street.

The home was a single-family residence, according to Allentown Fire Department Captain Jon Hammel.

Firefighters found fire to the rear of the home that was spreading quickly. PPL was requested as an urgent response due to arcing wires and were quick to respond to control the hazard…
