Shannon Davis, a kindergarten special education teacher at Buford Elementary School, is the 2026-2027 District Teacher of the Year for Buford City Schools.
Davis, who teaches students with Level 2 and Level 3 autism in a self-contained classroom, was recognized for creating a strong sense of belonging, adapting instruction to meet each child’s strengths, and advocating for students and families throughout the school and community.
