Two Cherokee County School District seniors have earned National Merit Scholarships!
Grace Dai of Cherokee High School and Aiden Johnson of Creekview High School today were named among the 2,500 graduating seniors nationwide to earn this prestigious honor! Scholarship recipients are selected from the 15,000 finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Finalists represent the top 1% of all U.S. high school seniors. Congratulations to Grace, who will attend Stanford University, and Aiden, who will attend Georgia Tech to study computer science! Our School Board is laser focused on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.
Recipients of the $2,500 scholarships funded by National Merit Scholarship Corporation are selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors.
