Police in Pomona have announced an arrest nearly a month after a 35-year-old man was stabbed to death.
The May 17 violence broke out near East 2nd Street and South Reservoir Street just after 1:30 a.m., according to a Pomona Police Department news release.
Arriving officers located the victim, who was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Investigators with the department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the case.

“During the course of their investigation, they identified the suspect as 41-year-old Matthew Martinez of Diamond Bar,” police officials said. “On June 4, officers located Martinez at his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.”…
