HOUSTON, Alaska (KTUU) – An Alaska State Trooper discharged their firearm Wednesday afternoon after a woman exited a Houston residence armed with a gun and pointed it at officers who had arrived to arrest her on a warrant, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. when two troopers responded to a residence in Houston to serve an arrest warrant on an adult woman for terroristic threatening in the second degree, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety. The warrant stemmed from multiple 911 calls in which the woman allegedly made explicit threats to kill law enforcement officers.
Troopers used a patrol vehicle’s public address system to order the woman to exit the residence with her hands visible and empty. She refused, then emerged from the home armed with a firearm and pointed it at a trooper, officials said…
