ARLINGTON — On September 11, to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, more than 1,800 volunteers from DFW will join a massive nationwide movement to “Honor Through Action.”
As part of the largest annual day of service in U.S. history, organized and led by the nonprofit 9/11 Day, volunteers will pack more than 450,000 healthy, non-perishable meals for local families at risk of hunger at the Esports Stadium Arlington.
The massive volunteer effort will transform the stadium into meal-packing assembly lines throughout the day, with corporate, civic and community teams working side by side. All meals packed in Arlington will benefit the North Texas Food Bank and families it serves throughout the region.
The event is part of 9/11 Day, the nationwide nonprofit initiative created to transform the anniversary of Sept. 11 into a day of service and doing good.
