TEXRail train in crash with vehicle between Fort Worth North Side, Mercantile stations

Fort Worth police are investigating a crash involving a TEXRail train and a vehicle Wednesday between the North Side and Mercantile Center stations.

Officers began responding to the crash about 11 a.m. in the 3800 block of North Sylvania Avenue, near East Long Avenue, police said in a statement. Officers are working at the scene and no fatalities have been reported at this time.

Trinity Metro said in an email about 1 p.m. that the rail infrastructure was damaged in the crash and repairs are expected to take six or more hours to complete…
