Heat Advisory Issued for Montgomery County as Heat Index Nears 105 Degrees

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Northwest, Central, and Southeast Montgomery County from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 12, as dangerous heat and humidity move into the region.

Forecasters expect heat index values, or “feels-like” temperatures, to reach around 105 degrees during the afternoon and evening hours. The advisory also includes portions of central and northern Maryland as well as northern and northwestern Virginia.
