LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Several hundred people packed a town hall about data centers in Loudoun County Monday night.
The huge crowd showed what a huge issue data centers have become in Loudoun County, which has about 200 of them and is the main reason Northern Virginia is considered the data center capital of the world.
Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall called for the town hall. During the meeting, which lasted several hours, she told the audience she wanted to clear up misconceptions about data centers.
