A permit valued at more than $2 million has been approved for work to begin on the upcoming Nordstrom Rack at Congressional Plaza in Rockville.
The approval marks another major step forward for the highly anticipated off-price retailer, which Federal Realty announced in November would open at Congressional Plaza in fall 2026. Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc. and offers discounts of up to 70 percent on clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products, and home goods.
“We look forward to being a part of the Rockville community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello previously said when the project was announced.
