Early morning earthquake reported in Transylvania County

TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Geological Survey reports that an earthquake struck western North Carolina early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the 2.1-magnitude quake struck 5.5 miles west of Rosman at a depth of 3 kilometers at 5:29 a.m.

USGS also reported that the quake struck 28.1 miles west-southwest of Hendersonville and 28.6 miles northwest of Easley, South Carolina…
