Adams County deputies crack down on expired plates with over 100 traffic stops

BRIGHTON, Colo. (KDVR) — A crack down on expired plates in Adams County netted dozens of violations within a matter of hours on Wednesday.

A joint effort by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and police in Brighton, Commerce City and Thornton resulted in 110 traffic stops between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The effort resulted in 71 citations, three impounds and three arrests for outstanding warrants and a drug violation. Police told FOX31 that one driver pulled over during Wednesday’s crackdown hadn’t renewed their plates since 2019…
