Texas’s Deadliest Crossings
Texas roads are facing a dual crisis as severe traffic collisions intersect with a rise in driver aggression, and it is being seen at city intersections. According to TxDot’s 2025 Driver Data, more than one in four motor vehicle accidents statewide occur at intersections, transforming routine daily commutes into high-risk navigation nightmares.
Locating the Crazy
A geographic breakdown of the most dangerous intersections in Texas reveals specific roads that consistently experience a high number of wrecks that result in injuries. The intersection of Central Expressway and University Drive (US-380) in McKinney comes in second place, followed closely by Round Rock’s bottleneck at AW Grimes Boulevard and Louis Henna Boulevard.
