AUSTIN, Texas — Students and staff at Lamar Middle School were released early on Tuesday after the building’s HVAC chiller needed “immediate repair.”
In a letter sent to families, Principal Travis Brunner said that students were released at 11:30 a.m. so that the district’s Facilities Maintenance Team and an HVAC contractor could “immediately begin installing a temporary chiller.”
