Detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Unit have arrested Robert Ferguson, 36, of Geismar, following an investigation into inappropriate online communications with an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old female.
On Monday, August 10, deputies received information in regard to Ferguson’s online communications with a minor. Juvenile Detectives continued the investigation, during which Ferguson admitted to the communications and plans to meet the individual.
Ferguson was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on the following charges:
- 5 counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles
- 3 counts of Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
