CENTRAL, La. (WAFB) – Firefighters rescued two people who were trapped after a truck crashed into a canal on Sunday night, Aug. 16.
According to the Central Fire Department, firefighters found the pickup truck overturned in a canal on Frenchtown Road between Country Road and Planchet Road.
All five Central stations and the St. George Fire Department responded to the scene to help with the lengthy extrication, officials said.
According to the fire department, EMS took both patients to the hospital, one of whom is in critical condition.
