BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Multiple parishes, mostly in North Louisiana, are under burn bans as extreme summer heat continues.
The National Weather Service reports that heat index values as high as 110-115 degrees will continue this week. By late week, heat could let up, but it will still be very hot.
In the Baton Rouge area, St. Helena Parish officials stated that all outdoor open burning is banned until further notice. Outdoor cooking with contained grills is allowed, but residents are urged to use extreme caution…
