BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A 23-year-old Baton Rouge man has died after spending several days in the ICU following a hit-and-run.
Police say the woman accused of hitting Destin Pickett had never had a driver’s license.
Family says he was headed to work
Destin Pickett was on his way to work Wednesday, Aug. 12. His sister, Mya, said that was typical for him. She says he worked at Curbside burgers and absolutely adored it.
“I just want people to know that was a pure, pure soul. Pure. 23 years old, you clubbing, you in your prime. All he wanted to do was work, study, get back in school, and help people. That shouldn’t be his destiny,” Mya said…
