New BRCC construction lab offers hands-on trade training

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge Community College opened its new Capital City Construction Lab on Friday, creating a hands-on training space for students pursuing careers in the skilled trades.

The facility, funded in part by an $850,000 grant from the Lowe’s Foundation, provides training in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, and construction management.
