St. Vincent de Paul thrift store on Plank Rd. closes

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Many thrift shoppers in Baton Rouge will need to find a new place to buy discount items.

The St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge thrift store on Plank Road has permanently closed its doors. According to the nonprofit, the closure is the result of a broader effort to enhance and streamline services.

Plans call for operations to shift to St. Vincent de Paul’s new Holmes Outreach Center, which is set to open in the Summer of 2026. The new center on Greenwell Springs Road will include a thrift store, a pharmacy, and additional services.
