Accused West Seattle Bridge Copper Wire Thief Skips Court After Judge Released Him Despite 16 Prior Warrants

A man accused of posing as a Seattle City Light employee while stealing hundreds of feet of copper wire from the West Seattle Bridge is once again wanted by the courts after failing to appear for his arraignment, just days after a judge released him without posting bail despite a lengthy history of failing to show up in court.

Gregory Wayne Galitzeck, 47, did not appear for his scheduled arraignment, prompting King County Superior Court Judge Nelson Lee to issue a $5,050 bench warrant for his arrest. As of the latest jail records, Galitzeck was not back in custody.
